FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) builds parts layer by layer from thermoplastic filament. At NovaLab 3D in Pickering, North Yorkshire, we use FDM for rapid prototypes, functional engineering parts, and small batch production.
NovaLab 3D offers a typical 48-hour turnaround on FDM prototypes from our Pickering studio. Rush orders for small parts can be completed in 4–8 hours.
We stock 15+ materials including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon, TPU, Polycarbonate, and Carbon Fibre and Glass Fibre composites. Maximum build volume is 330×320×325mm. See our Materials page for full specifications.
We accept STL, STEP, OBJ, and 3MF files. Fusion 360 exports are also welcome. If you don't have a CAD file, our custom design service can create one from your sketch or brief.
Yes. Based in Pickering, North Yorkshire, we specialise in scanning and reproducing worn, broken, or discontinued parts for farm machinery, tractors, and classic vehicles across Ryedale and North Yorkshire.
Yes. We ship to clients across Yorkshire and the whole of the North of England via next-day courier. Same-day local collection is available from our Pickering studio.
